CARAD (Centre for Asylum Seekers, Refugees & Detainees) will use their funds to invest in the success of their Food Truck project. The Food Truck project is designed to up skill refugees and asylum seekers, provide employment and bridge the gap between cultures over the shared enjoyment of food. The food truck has been purchased and set up, but there is still a long way to go. With their $15,000 grant, CARAD will employ a mentor to help up skill the team in areas such as book keeping, accounting, food business logistics, event management, customer service and leadership.
