What is a giving circle?
A Giving Circle is a form of collective giving – and it’s the primary vehicle we use at Meridian to enable our unique brand of participatory philanthropy.

We know that when groups of people come together to make a difference, great things happen. And that’s certainly what you will experience at our annual Giving Circle event.
It’s an electric evening, with an incredible atmosphere that is guaranteed to leave you inspired and moved.
The format
- Three vetted and shortlisted charities each have 7 minutes to pitch their charity to our donors.
- Our donors vote following the pitches to decide which charity should receive which of the $25k, $15k and $10k grants available
- All three charities walk away with a grant on the evening
If you aren’t a donor we would still love to have you along. Our giving circle event is a fantastic way to be inspired by worthy causes and inspiring people.
